The following information is a checklist of items so you can prepare your home for your new flooring installation.  Proper preparation helps the installation go smoothly and efficiently.  Our Professional installers appreciate your cooperation as well. We will make every effort to ensure that your floor covering installation goes as expected to give you a beautifully finished job.

Warranty: Commercial Linocraft installs only first quality materials backed by manufacturer warranties.  All installations are guaranteed for (1) year.  As with any purchase from Commercial Linocraft, your satisfaction is guaranteed.

Preparation: Before installation, empty any closets receiving the new floor covering; remove all items from underneath beds, remove bed coverings, fragile lamps, knickknacks, glassware from china cabinets, books from bookcases, any small furniture you can move and pictures on the walls.  Disconnect all computers, stereos, TV’s, VCR equipment, or any other electrical equipment.  Inform the salesperson of all wires located under the carpet.  Check for alarm or cable wire connections under existing floor covering (alarm or cable companies may have to disconnect).

Furniture: We do not move antiques, grandfather clocks, gas stoves, refrigerators with front door dispensers, aquariums, waterbeds, heavy pool tables, pianos, safes, computers or electronic equipment.  (Many of these items need to be professionally moved).

Doors: If you have purchased a higher pile height carpet or perhaps a thicker pad, or if a new subfloor is placed on top of an existing subfloor, you may need to arrange to have your doors trimmed to accommodate the new carpet height/floor level.

Baseboards: Existing baseboards in most cases will crack or even break when removed.  Commercial Linocraft Flooring installers will handle them with the utmost care but cannot be responsible for wall repair, filling of nail holes, repairs or replacement.

Secure Premises: (Condominiums) Please check with your building management for parking accessibility and delivery times for your installation (such as elevators, service entrances, front desk procedures, etc).  All other trades people must be out of the area.   Commercial Linocraft cannot be responsible for any damage done to our finished product by other trades after installation.

Unforeseen Charges: Additional charges may apply to your installation when the take-up and removal of the old flooring is done.  Water damage, urine soaked carpets, floors with structural damage, toilet repairs etc are not always detected until the installation process has begun.  If this is a possibility, please advise your salesperson. 

Proper Power: Make sure that adequate power, light, ventilation and heat will be available 24 hours before and during the installation.

Removal of Existing Floor Coverings: If you have elected to not have the installers remove your existing carpet or flooring you must have this done before installation.

Painted Surfaces: Expect minor touch up painting to be needed after installation.  Normal installation methods may slightly scuff existing baseboards or walls.  Our installers use extreme care to minimize this.

Clean Up: The installers will make a post-installation inspection to guarantee your complete satisfaction.  After installation they will pick up scrap material.  Final clean up will be your responsibility.

Commitment: We sincerely appreciate your business and thank you for your purchase. If possible please be present at the time of installation and walk through after the installation has been completed; express any concern at that time to the installer.  This will prevent call-backs that may inconvenience you. Our goal is to make your new flooring installation a positive experience.
